Charities
At Sir Henry Floyd Grammar School we look beyond our own community and support local, national and global charities. Volunteering and giving helps our students see how caring and generosity impacts communities and makes a huge difference in people’s lives.
Every year the SSLT along with the Co-curricular Lead choose three charities that support three different causes on a local, national and global scale that the school will work with. This decision is agreed with the student council and the SLT and this year the three charities that we will be supporting for any school organised fundraising activities including non-uniform days and charity week are: The Nic Willoughby Fund, Ruth Strauss Foundation and The British Red Cross (local, national and global respectively).
Over the years we are proud to have supported a variety of local and international charities such as:
2022-23 |
Aylesbury Homeless Action Group Young Minds Mary's Meals |
2021-22 |
WaterAid Florence Nightingale Hospice British Red Cross for Ukraine Lindengate Stonewall National Autistic Society |
2020-21 |
